TektonAI for engineers
A complete preliminary scaffold plan, ready to check, with its calculation note: dimensioned geometry, bill of materials, load takedown, tie forces, wind, cited rules and revision history.
Today. What TektonAI does for you today.
- The calculation note.
- Every plan comes with an indicative PDF calculation note, in English or French.
- It contains the assumptions, the loads per the CSA S269.2-16 duty class, the local wind per the NBC 2020 method with the source of each coefficient, the load takedown per standard, the force in each tie, the checks and a signature block.
- What the note does not calculate, for lack of data, is listed in it.
- You check the numbers instead of redoing every calculation.
- The load takedown. Per the chosen duty class (light, intermediate or heavy, CSA S269.2-16, clause 6.2.3): the force at the foot of each standard and the pressure under each base plate.
- Soil bearing.
- With the bearing capacity from the geotechnical report, each base plate is checked against it.
- Without a soil report, a pressure over 75 kPa under a base plate holds the plan until the capacity is provided (CSA S269.2-16, clause 7.7.8.6 (a)).
- The cited rules.
- The regulation of the site's province.
- CSA Z797 where that regulation gives no figure.
- The threshold from which engineered plans are required.
- Checking and approval. The plan stays preliminary until the names of the person who checked it and the person who approved it are provided. Every revision is kept in the history.
- Document authenticity. Each plan carries a “Réf. TK” reference and a QR code: the verification page shows whether the file is identical to the original.
In a conversation. What you can ask.
- 01
“For plan ECH-261017-46CA, give the force at the foot of the most loaded standard and the pressure under the base plates.”
- 02
“Check the pressure under the base plates against a bearing capacity of 150 kPa.”
- 03
“Include the calculation note in English for the client's engineer.”
- 04
“Set this plan to APPROUVÉ POUR MONTAGE (approved for erection): checked by Marie Tremblay, approved by Jean Côté.”
